TOWN TALK:

"I've been plagued with back problems for probably twenty years. I've been going to hospitals to have it checked out and they been telling me I need replacement of some spinal vertebrae. They have given me a very limited amount of exercises and telling me these would help and they never did. What was interesting is there were about three exercises and that was the extent of how they were supposed to heal me. One time I was in the gym and I ran into James and he was conducting a class for people with back problems. I went to the first exercise class and came out of the class an hour later and was actually more flexible by 5 or 6 inches. Meaning that I could bend down and my hand could pass my toes with a straight leg which is very unusual and I did feel stronger in the back . I went to several more of his classes and each time we were in the class he was showing us different exercises meaning that we were not doing things over and over again. But doing sort of a all around strengthening of the upper torso and mid drift area . So I did not go to the classes after that because the way my life was but I exercised at home. And when I exercise I do feel better, I feel stronger, I can move easier, if I don't exercise things go back into there own ways and again things don't work so well. So I've been exercising and I was amazed with his help and his ability to inform you what muscles work, why they work and if something is out of wack what you need to do to get it back on track and it has worked. So through out the years I have been going to chiropractors, I've been going to back doctors and nobody has given me in those  many years  as much information as James has given me in a matter of 2 or 3 sessions. So I found it extremely valuable and I'm really thankful for his kindness in that sense to part that information to me and making me better. So James I thank you again and hopefully you have a very successful time with this tape, Bella."

"Hello my name is Maria and I'm a permit process supervisor for a local jurisdiction here in southern California. I'm here to talk about James and the wonderful time I've had in his program. I had a back injury probably about 12 years ago, ruptured a disc and since that time I had limited range of motion and some back pain. "Hi, my name is Collin I'm a retired engineer. My back complaints seem to relate to the many years sitting in front of a computer and so I've had chronic back ache. I've gone to doctors and physical  therapy and  pretty much everything you can do about it. I've been going to James class now for about three months and it has helped me alot.  He emphasizes strengthening and uses very precise specific exercises so that the result is, I've gained quite a bit of tolerance for doing the things that actually make my back hurt,  like sitting in front of a computer or driving or standing so it's really helped me quite a bit. The things I like about it are specific exercises that he explains what each exercise is intended to do and which muscles where going after which is helpful. He also measures before and after range of motion so that we have some kind of measure whether were accomplishing anything. Over time we see the numbers improve but the main thing is that I feel better. I suppose the most important thing is it's managed to lengthen my time span before my back starts to hurt in the cases were it does and actually in some cases I'm able to do some things with out back pain where I use to always have it.  So I think it's done me alot of good, and thats it. "My name is Chuck I've been with James now about almost a year. In that time frame I thing I progressed quite a bit with my back problems. I was a aerospace engineer for twenty some years, now 6 years retired. I've had back problems on and off for about 15 years and this is the first time within this year that I can say I really have shown progress. And I feel I also learned safety features that go along with the exercises that certainly are a bonus which you can use . Because I often at times use to come in by myself and do exercises and to find out I did more damage than good. But under James instructions and his helping me grow I feel I have really progressed and the back problems, the pain which I had shooting down the leg virtually has disappeared. Now I'm on kind of a maintenance thing which is very helpful so I do appreciate the advantage of being able to feel as well as I do and hope to continue along the same line. Thanks guy, Chuck."

"Hi, my name is Carrie I'm a manager in the staffing industry at a local office. I met with James who's been a trainer of mine for about, close to a year. I've been training with different trainers through out the last 10 years and I've never met someone that knows as much about what you do to building up strength and working to your optimal level and intensity. He has the ability to teach someone to do things in a very slow pace so that your gaining actual strength and muscle size by making the movements slow and precise and steady. And in doing so he's taught me how to increase the weights so that we can increase body strength and muscle size which is what my personal goals are. So I have to say with all the different trainers I've had in my past he is by far the only one that I have met that actually showed me the results of what I'm trying to achieve. So I greatly appreciate his knowledge and what he's been able to instill in me and for that I thank him, Carrie"

"My name is Brian, I met James when I was about 18 years old a senior in high school. He pretty much started training me for reasons of sports, baseball and football. After that he got me involved in wanting to do bodybuilding. Since than he's pretty much taught me everything that goes on in the bodybuilding industry. He's helped me reach specific goals that I had. He's put on a good twenty to twenty-five pounds of solid muscle on me till now. At this point he's got me wanting to stay with in the fitness industry because I enjoy it so much. And if you have the opportunity to listen to his advice I would definitely advise anybody to pay attention to what he says because he definitely, definitely knows what he's talking about and if you listen to him, he can take you a long ways and get you to where you want to go. He also taught me about the nutrition part of the fitness world it's just as important  as the lifting aspects of it all. Before I started with him I would say I didn't have the best diet in the world but now I've gotten a pretty strict diet. As far as his techniques of lifting I still do pretty much everything we started with from day one. I haven't really change anything just because it's worked so well for me and I advise anybody if you are willing to listen and take some new advise from anybody this is your guy. In 2000 I was the Natural Mr. California Body Building Champion and he helped me reach my goals. Thanks James you rock, Brian."

"Over the last 10 years, I have interfaced with James on a variety of issues from personal training to rehabilitation exercises on a couple of different injuries.(Knee & Shoulder). In a six week period I was trained in a gym by James three times a week 1 hr/day. He also set up my nutritional program... Goal was to lose weight, tone up and retain existing muscle. After six weeks I had lost an amazing 42.5 lbs, with none of it from muscle! Another time I was training on my own and was having a problem with shoulder pain in certain upper body movements. I consulted James after Doctors could not find a problem and medication was giving me no relief. After a short session and 2 weeks of doing the exercises James had advised me on ....PAINLESS... and full movement!
